Imperial International School has certainly started off on the right note. August 12th saw the school’s first batch of IGCSE students reaping the rewards of their hard work.
The school achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate with 90% of all grades within the A* to C range, 88% within the A* to B range, 76% within the A* to A range, and 47% in the A* range.
A scholar at Imperial, Chew Jia Hui, topped the chart by achieving straight As (6A*s and 2As).
Expressing her excitement, she said: “I am extremely happy. It was a big surprise as I didn’t expect straight As. I must say a great thank you to all our teachers for their time and their sacrifices.”
Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, it has been a demanding year for students all around the world, and Imperial was not excluded. The students worked hard to gain their qualifications and move forward with their next educational steps.
Katherine Claire Beadle, Principal of Imperial International School Ipoh said, “My team of teachers and I are immensely proud of our first cohort of IGCSE students and their outstanding results. They took on the challenge with both hands and soared to success.”
Despite the periodic school closures and learning from home, the students have shown their resilience and dedication to their studies over the past year.
Well done to all IGCSE students from the 2021 batch!
