Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the Properties Division on 1 March 2017 and redesignated as Executive Director of HCK on 26 November 2018. He was subsequently redesignated as the Group Managing Director, Operations & Oversight on 10 January 2022.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from University of South Australia in 1999. In 2006, he obtained his PhD in Manufacturing Engineering from University of South Australia. Prior to joining HCK Group, Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling worked in various industries in Australia – from automative to semiconductor and building material manufacturing since 2000. He was exposed to various roles from engineering, product development, project management and project procurement. His experience in property includes composite building material technology, property procurement as well as property management.
Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling is the son-in-law of Tan Sri Clement Hii Chii Kok, the Executive Chairman and major shareholder of HCK.
Datuk Dr. Dennis Ling holds a PhD in Manufacturing Engineering and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical and Manufacturing from the University of South Australia in 2006 and 1999 respectively. Prior to joining HCK Properties, Dr Ling has been working in various industries in Australia including semiconductor, automotive and building materials manufacturing.
He was exposed to various roles from engineering, procurement, product development and project management. His experience in property involves composite building materials technology, and property procurement and property management.
Mdm. Wong Wai Tzing or Helen as she is known, holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of London.
She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
She began her legal career in 1991 after working as a qualifed company secretary for many years and was made a partner of Cheang
& Ari in 1996. In 1999, she left Cheang & Ari and co-founded a legal firm, Tay & Helen Wong.
She has had a distinguished career in business, government, academia, and law plus stints in corporate and commercial, since 1991. She has covered inter alia, mergers and acquisitions, take-overs, initiated public offerings, joint ventures, collaboration, and franchising
arrangements.
On 31 December 2022, Helen Wong retired as a partner of Tay & Helen Wong, and is now a practicing consultant.
Currently, Mdm. Helen Wong is also an Independent Non-Executive Chairman of HLT Global Bhd.
Ms. Chermaine Poo was appointed as the Independent Non-Executive Director on 24 June 2026. She graduated with BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from UK in 1999. She qualified as a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2005 and was admitted as a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants in 2006.
She was a corporate finance consultant with BDO Capital Consultants Malaysia Sdn Bhd from 2000 to 2003, involved in corporate restructuring, merger and acquisition, and liquidation. From 2004 to 2007, she was a corporate finance consultant with CIMB Investment Bank Bhd, involved in several initial public offerings, the largest of which was valued at RM1 billion.
After winning four awards in the Miss Universe Malaysia pageant in 2005, she founded and managed a public relations firm, Chermaine Poo Productions from 2007 to 2014 during which she organised more than 100 press conferences, product launches, marketing and advertising campaigns and hosted more than 600 corporate and charity events.
Ms Chermaine was awarded ‘Women Entrepreneur of The Year’ in 2012 by an international accounting firm.
In 2015 she was appointed as Executive Director of TH Architects Sdn Bhd, an architecture company that has successfully completed 93 property development projects in 21 countries including the USA, Germany and South Korea.
Ms Chermaine was appointed as an Independent Director of Ni Hsin Group Bhd in August 2021, and as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee in August 2022. She also serves as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Mr. Foong graduated with a Honours Degree in Building Economics & Quantity Surveying from the United Kingdom in 1982. He is a registered Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Malaysia and a Chartered Quantity Surveyor registered as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom.
He has extensive experience in the property and construction sectors, having held key senior managerial positions in companies like PileconEngineeringBhd, Visage Group and Mayland Group. Among others, he had overseen the development and construction of the 28-storey Office Tower for Dewan Bahasa danPustaka in Kuala Lumpur and a Fishing Port in BatuMaung, Penang. In the Mayland Group, he oversaw the development and construction of projects with a cumulative GDV of over RM1 billion
