Many people build businesses.
Some build careers.
A few choose to build futures.
Years ago, our founder, Tan Sri Clement Hii, saw a reality that many children in vulnerable circumstances faced. While basic needs such as food, shelter, and education were important, he understood that a child’s future could not be transformed by necessities alone.
A child may have a bed to sleep on and meals on the table, yet still grow up without confidence, guidance, belonging, or hope.
He believed every child deserved more than survival.
They deserved the opportunity to dream.
This belief became the foundation of Hiichiikok Home for Children.
From the very beginning, the vision was never just to exist as a CSR programme. It was to create a home where children could discover their potential, develop their character, and prepare for a future filled with possibilities.
Over the years, that vision has shaped every aspect of life at the home.
The vision is also made possible through the collective efforts of dedicated caretakers, volunteers, NGOs, sponsors, donors, and community partners who share the same belief: that every child deserves an opportunity to succeed.
Because the ultimate goal has never been simply to care for children.
The goal is to empower them.
To raise young people who are educated, resilient, compassionate, and confident enough to shape their own future.
Years from now, the greatest measure of success will not be the number of children who passed examinations or completed programmes.
It will be the lives transformed and the children who become leaders, professionals, parents, and contributors to society.
The children who discover that their circumstances do not define their future.
And that is why the Hiichiikok Home for Children has always been about more than a roof.
It has always been about building futures.
