Lion Dance Roars In Success For HCK

A spirited lion dance blessing set the tone for the Chinese New Year celebration at HCK Capital Group, welcoming prosperity, and success for the year ahead. The event began at the lobby on the ground floor, where a lion dance troupe and the God of Fortune performed an energetic routine to the rhythmic beat of drums, cymbals, and gongs.

The lions then went through HCK’s office spaces, filling the workplace with energy and excitement. The dynamic and skilful performance is believed to ward off negative energy and usher in good luck and positive energy for the year ahead. Employees gathered along the way to watch as the lions brought life and vibrancy to the office.

Adding to the festive spirit, the God of Fortune and the lions distributed mandarin oranges to staff. Mandarin oranges, a significant symbol of Chinese New Year, represent wealth and good fortune, making this gesture especially meaningful. Many took the opportunity to interact with the performers, snap photos, and embrace the joy of the occasion.

The celebration continued with Yee Sang toss, a traditional practice symbolising abundance and prosperity. Employees came together to toss the ingredients high while sharing good wishes for the year ahead. A lunch gathering followed, allowing staff to enjoy a festive meal together. In addition, the event doubled as a birthday celebration for February-born employees, adding another layer of joy to the occasion.

This annual tradition at HCK Tower reflects a commitment to creating a positive and auspicious work environment. By honouring cultural celebrations and fostering a sense of unity, HCK continues to bring prosperity and success to its employees for the year ahead.
