Many property investors are looking at rental earnings to fund their purchases, hence the attractiveness of the property as a rental unit must be properly assessed.
If the property does offer rental potential, then the owner will want to milk it for what it is worth. This will be the focus of the latest session at HCK Real Estate Academy (HCK REA), titled ‘Maximising Property Yield’.
Speakers for the day will include Dr Gooi Leong Mow, Programme Leader (MBA) Cum Postgraduate Lecturer at SEGi University, as well as Elvin and Eric Wong, otherwise known as the SYNC brothers. The latter are well-known speakers on the property circuit.
Interested parties are highly encouraged to join as the fees are a fraction of the normal market rates. Participants will be given tips on how best to market and position their properties. They will also be guided on the various legal obligations of a landlord.
The upcoming session will also focus on the following areas:
● Expose participants to the different types of properties and the rental structures that can be implemented
● Accurately identify the target market and analyse market rates and other relevant factors
● Measure returns based on current and future costs
● Marketing strategies to attract tenants
● How to manage and maintain rented properties
The HCK REA was created to enhance stakeholders’ property experience by offering courses that combine academic rigour with industry know-how.
Those who successfully complete the courses will be awarded the Professional Certificates of Competencies, while those who complete the entire syllabus of courses will be entitled to micro-credentials in the Masters of Accounting programme at SEGi University.
The one-day course will be held on 28 Oct 2023 in the Video Conferencing Room of SEGi University, Kota Damansara. To find out more about HCK REA and the available courses, please call: 012-388 6775.
