Imperial International School organises holiday camp to stimulate young minds.
The devil finds work for idle hands. That is indeed the lament of many parents with the approaching school holidays and Imperial International School, Ipoh (Imperial) has sought to keep children’s hands busy with specially curated activities.
Called the Lost Valley of Chief Powhaten, this holiday programme will be held at Imperial International School Ipoh, from 25-27 July 2022. Open to children aged between 7-15 years old, the programme is designed to improve children’s creativity and sharpen their life skills.
Recognising that children have missed out on outdoor and physical activities during recent lockdowns, Imperial is looking to make up for lost time with this three-days adventure camp. Activities will include leadership, strategy and planning, teamwork, character building and team building activities which will strengthen not just children’s survival skills but also their social skills.
“Many children missed out on socialising with their peers during the enforced lockdown. They have missed out on a valuable part of their education journey, which is enjoying outdoor activities with friends,” explains Renita Simmunjalam, Imperial’s Marketing and Admissions Manager.
To ensure the programme is properly conducted, Imperial has engaged a professional training provider – Awesome Tribes – to curate and execute this holiday programme. Renita says the trainer has devised a series of activities that will spark children’s creativity as well as provide a platform to learn social skills. “The Lost Valley of Chief Powhaten holiday camp will allow them to chance to bond with children their own age and make new friends and a good opportunity to learn outside classroom,” says Renita.
The school holiday programme is priced at RM 200 for Imperial Students and for non-Imperial students RM 220 (early bird) and RM 250 (post early bird). The fee includes meal and materials for the 3 full days.
