Bernard operates a thriving steak house in an older shop house unit in Subang Jaya. Over the years, he has successfully built up his business serving thick cuts of perfectly charcoal-grilled premium meat.
However, as the business grew, the proprietor felt that he needed a larger premises to feed his growing number of customers.
Having established himself in Subang Jaya, Bernard did not want to move from the area.
He was also very conscious of the cost of moving into a new shop lot as it would involve plenty of renovations, not least fitting the kitchen with the requisite exhaust system.
This is essential in preventing the charcoal smoke from seeping into the dining area besides being a requirement by the municipal authorities.
Bernard’s online search brought him to edumetro, a mixed-integrated development in USJ 1. It seemed too good to be true as the retail outlets were exactly what he was looking for.
Apart from being in Subang Jaya, it also offered a bigger floor space than his existing premise. He was astounded to learn that several units come ready-fitted with the exhaust unit and other amenities required by FnB businesses.
He was also informed that several popular franchises such as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and KK Mart will be opening stores at edumetro, confirming his belief that the area will be a busy retail hub with plenty of footfall.
News that SEGi College would be opening its new campus at edumetro further convinced Bernard of the area’s long term viability for his steak house. He has since signed on the dotted line and is busy planning for the grand opening of Bernard’s steakhouse @ edumetro.
