HCK Capital Group’s motto is ‘Done. Differently. Definitely.’ A shining example of the developer’s unorthodox approach is its HCK Real Estate Academy (HCK REA) course. The collaboration between the developer and SEGi University, HCK REA seeks to leverage on the industry experience of the former and the academic rigour of the latter.
This synergy was evident during HCK REA’s recent third session on September 22, with Dr Gooi Leong Mow (SEGi University), who spoke on the topic ‘Enhancing Your Property Skills’. Later in the day, sharing her vast industry experience was Miss Wendy Cheow, HCK Senior Director of Business Alliances and Relations.
These one-day courses are primarily aimed at real estate agents and landlords but is open to all individuals seeking to enhance their knowledge in this field. These include budding property investors as the courses are designed to impart pertinent knowledge on identifying properties that will pay dividends.
“By providing opportunities to strengthen their knowledge in key areas, it is hoped real estate agents can better advise their clients, with the end objective of boosting sales performances,” according to Dato’ Joseph Hii, HCK Executive Director for Growth and Alliances. “Potential investors will gain essential knowledge that will guide them in their decision-making, allowing for their investments to be profitable and lead to fruitful ventures. HCK Real Estate Academy aims to improve the overall experience for everyone involved through the sharing and dissemination of essential property knowledge.”
Topics covered in previous courses include ‘Maximising Rental Yield’ and ‘Marketing Your Property’ with guest speakers sharing their knowledge on the subjects. Participants also acknowledged that the short courses offered by HCK REA represent great value as the prices are extremely affordable. This is in comparison to the usual market rate to attend courses by said guest speakers, such as the famed Sync Brothers, plus the added benefit of receiving certificates from a top notch university.
Those who successfully complete the courses will be awarded Professional Certificates of Competencies, while those who complete the entire syllabus of courses will be entitled to micro-credentials in the Masters of Accounting programme at SEGi University.
