‘Satays-fying’ get-together

Last year, the HCK Group had a mouth-watering durian feast that was a great hit among employees in the property, media and corporate divisions. This year, the organisers did one better and threw a scrumptious satay party recently.

On July 15, HCK Group staff were treated to a spread of delicious local fare. The buffet had something for everyone – there were vegetable curry, dalcha, roti jala and roti canai for vegetarians, while the meat lovers can take their pick of beef or chicken satay, mee goreng, meehoon and chicken murtabak. The refreshing ros sirap at the drinks station was a real thirst-quencher.

The hearty meal ended on a sweet note at the ais kacang station, where staff could customise their bowl with a variety of fillings, from red bean and corn to sliced cincau and peanuts, and toppings like syrup and condensed milk.

The satay party, organised by HR senior manager Eileen Liew and her team, was a resounding success as staff from various divisions mingled and ate to their hearts’ content. Spotted at the party were sales and marketing director Alison Lim, executive director Leong Choong Wah and HCK’s new senior director Michelle Loh.

Liew said they had ordered a whopping 1,100 satay sticks for the occasion. She added that the event was held to celebrate Hari Raya and it was also an occasion for HCK Group to show its appreciation to its employees.

On that note, the HCK Group and its subsidiaries would like to wish all Muslims and Malaysians Selamat Hari Raya, maaf zahir dan batin.
