A select group of 40 guests was feted to yet another entertaining “An Evening with Focus Malaysia” gathering on May 31, 2019. Held at the Setia Sky Seputeh sales gallery in the strategic enclave of Taman Seputeh in Kuala Lumpur, the guests braved a thunderstorm and were treated to a cosy evening of scrumptious Oriental and Western-style dinner, entertainment and a retirement talk by financial adviser Brenda Yong.
The theme for the night was ‘A Crazy Rich Evening” and guests, especially the ladies, looked resplendent, matching the night’s theme. Dinner started with sesame pumpkin soup. The main course either sous vide salmon confit or slowly cooked chestnut chicken infused with Chinese wine. The three-course meal ended with a perfect ensemble of coconut, mangosteen, lime and Thai basil for dessert. During dinner, guests were entertained by the three-piece Impromptu Jazz band.
Focus Malaysia executive director Dan Loh, in welcoming the guests, thanked SP Setia for hosting the venue. He said the event was, amongst others, a good opportunity to network with each other amidst a relaxing evening of food and wine. Yong provided some insight into sustainable financial management to ensure financial management to ensure financial stability for retirement. She said it was important for Malaysians to identify what their goals are and tailor their plan to achieve financial independence in their golden years.
Guests were also given a tour of a Setia Sky Seputeh show unit located at the sales gallery. Setia Sky Seputeh’s Tower B is now open for sale. The low density freehold high-rise development is set for completion by end-2020. As evening ended, each guest was presented with a Yves Saint Laurent perfume, signing off the evening on a high note.
