The Centre For A Better Tomorrow (CENBET) recently held a press conference at the ground floor of Wisma HCK to release findings of a survey done earlier this year. Comprehensive data about Malaysians’ level of trust in public institutions were shared with the many media members who turned up.
The media conference was chaired by CENBET Co-President Mr Gan Ping Sieu. The study was carried out by an independent research and consulting firm. The firm’s partner Dr Leong Yuen Yoong, presented and elaborated on the data.
Other members of the CENBET board and top management were present at the press conference were Ms Ng Yeen Seen (Vice-President), Dato’ Simon Lim (member of the Board of Governors) and Mr Chow Kum Hor (Executive Director).
Before the Powerpoint presentation, Mr Gan Ping Sieu gave an explanation of the rationale for the study as well as the basis for the study. There was a Q & A session after the presentation, for which Mr Gan also took on most of the questions posed by the media.
CENBET is an advocacy group for moderation and good governance. The chairman of its Board of Governors is Tan Sri Clement Hii.
