Children from the Hiichiikok Foundation Home for Children Care recently visited the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, arranged by a group of volunteers. It was held at the start of the third term of the school holidays.
Before entering, the children were briefed on the dos and don’ts. Throughout the visit, the volunteers guided the kids on the different species of butterflies and the ecosystem they lived in. Besides butterflies, the children also learnt about other animals in the park, such as insects, birds and fish as well as the different plants found there.
The Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park had sponsored the children’s admission tickets and even provided them with light refreshments. After the visit, the children went to the nearby Lake Gardens where they had lunch and took to the playground there.
The Hiichiikok Foundation Home for Children Care is located in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur. The Foundation, which also offers scholarships to needy students, is founded by HCK Group Executive Chairman, Tan Sri Clement Hii.
