New role for Anderson

Anderson Markets Analytics Sdn Bhd (Anderson), established in June 2014 as part of the HCK Group, is being developed into a full-fledged research house.

Anderson was set up to conduct research and market monitoring on consumer habits and socio-economic issues. But beginning 2016, it was spun off as a separate entity within the group, focusing on corporate research, consulting, strategy building and growing the research arm of the group.

Focus Malaysia executive editor Prathab V is heading Anderson as its executive director, and will accordingly relinquish all duties with the business weekly to concentrate on helping develop Anderson into a profit centre on its own.

Prathab was formerly the APAC director of a multinational consulting company headquartered in the United States. His work experience includes stints in a government technology agency, credit bureau, media and education.



The Anderson team features experienced researchers, consultants and statisticians who have wide experience in undertaking various research and consulting projects for both the public and private sector.

Current business units within Anderson include Telcos & ICT, Finance, Biotechnology & Healthcare, Socio-Economy, Media, Education, Properties & Real Estate and more.
