A wise man once said, “Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” Happiness and many candles were shared in April as staff from HCK Media banded together to share laughter and cakes.
April "babies" - Chinese translator Loo Yit Mei, writer Shuman Vasu, and web designer Kay Goh of theantdaily.com, executive editor V Prathab of Focus Malaysia, and writer Angie Tan of MW Magazines - jointly celebrated their birthdays with staff from all three publications on Friday (April 10).
Elsewhere, another birthday celebration took place on April 15, as writer Lavonne Cheah from Currentbuzz also celebrated her birthday with colleagues from iGAR Worldwide and MW Magazines.
Birthdays are much more memorable when shared with colleagues who are akin to families.

A hazelnut chocolate cake and a macadamia nut cake were the chosen flavours of the month.
